Our Customer a leading software provider of Bluetooth™ and 802.11 short-range wireless connectivity solutions, delivers a full range of wireless software systems and turnkey designs to enable PCs, PDAs, handsets, headsets, access points, and output devices with Bluetooth™ wireless technology.

The Background

Our Customer chose CIBER as a Technology partner to address the growing wireless connectivity market demand for new killer apps.

The Task

The task on hand is to provide a Messaging application on Handheld Devices and interface the same to a Mobile Handset.

The Work

Our Solution involves triggering the appropriate services residing on the mobile from the Hand Held. This is achieved by sending different commands as understood by the mobile handset.

Thesolution supports three different interfaces between the Mobile and Hand Held viz, Serial, Infrared and Bluetooth Connection. The application will also handle the most important job of synchronizing information between the mobile and Hand Held at regular intervals.
